Rehydration.

Have you noticed that when you enter a hospital for treatment, one of the first things administered is hydration? There is a thinking that most patients are dehydrated. Let us examine why.

Why so many people are dehydrated

  • Eating foods which cause dehydration.
  • Being unable to distinguish between hunger and thirst.
  • Drinking water which doesn't alleviate dehydration.
  • Drinking drinks which dehydrate.
  • Living a dehydrating lifestyle.
  • Thinking thoughts which dehydrate.

Issues fostered by dehydration

  • Wrinkles
  • Constipation
  • Diarrhea
  • Headaches
  • Weaknesses
  • Blood clots
  • Bodily aches and pains
  • Incessant appetite
  • Poor circulation
  • Heart palpitations
  • Creaking knees

What has water got to do with it?

I decided to read the labels on some of the bottled water and found there was distilled water for cleaning jewelry — mixed with the other types of water. Imagine just picking a brand of bottled water and drinking it without reading the label.

When I worked at a weight loss company, I saw most of the people were dehydrated although they confessed to drinking copious amounts of water every day. A body fat composition machine was used to measure the client's hydration level.

Here is a question for you: what do you think would be the reason so many people are dehydrated after drinking so much water?

Some possible answers

  • The water was being rejected by the body.
  • The water was not entering the cells of the body.
  • The water was not bioavailable.
  • The cells did not recognize the liquid as a substance beneficial to the body.
  • The water molecules have a shape that does not allow them to enter the muscles.
  • The water is dead water. It has no electrolytes.

More Rehydration Takes

Some important tasks the kidneys do include the following:

  • Balancing the acid/alkali ratio of the blood.
  • Helping to keep the blood pressure normal
  • Removing toxins from the body
  • Helping to keep the body hydrated

One way to help the kidneys is to flavor your water by adding small amounts of nutrients to your water. If you are receiving treatment from your doctor for kidney issues you may need to consult with your doctor before making these changes.

Some nutrients help to wake up your body while other nutrients help to calm your body and help to induce sleep.
